What he gives is better than what he received!

Alhamdulillah 24-7

Being able to praise and thank Allaah for the blessing He تعالى has bestowed upon us, is in itself a blessing, which is better than the materialistic blessing we receive:

Ibn Maajah (3082) recorded that Anas bin Maalik رضي الله عنه said that the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

«مَا أَنْعَمَ اللهُ عَلَى عَبْدٍ نِعْمَةً فَقَالَ: الْحَمْدُ للهِ، إِلَّا كَانَ الَّذِي أَعْطَى أَفْضَلَ مِمَّا أَخَذَ»

“No servant is blessed by Allaah and says,`Al-Hamdu Lillaah’, except that what he gives (the praise) is better than what he received (the blessing).”

  1. Being able to praise and thank Allah for the blessings that Allah ta’ala bestowed upon us, is itself a blessing, better than the materialistic blessings we receive.

The lessons I learn from this:

    1. I shall see & acknowledge the blessings I am receiving and then praise and thank Allah.

    2. I shall use responsibly in the cause of Allah for the materialist blessings I receive and be cautious my acts about being accepted by Allah; still praise and thank Allah.

    3. I shall thank & praise Allah for my being able to perform acts of worships, and pray to Allah to be able continue performing the acts of worships.

I had thought before that being able to repent for sins and to vow to stay away from sins is the blessings of Allah. This is the new perspective.
